Light City is back for another year and we are back with them! This was one of the most popular events we have ever held and we are excited to be back with Creative Alliance and supporting their efforts for Light City. We will be making and refurbishing lanterns that will be used in the Light City kickoff parade on March 31st. Light City has been featured worldwide and was a tremendous event for the city last year. It generated tens of millions of dollars for the city and we hope it continues long into the future.

The event will be held in the lower level of Archbishop Borders School in Canton and we will be putting together and designing lanterns. We will also be refurbishing some of the ones we made last year and some of the larger items that the Creative Alliance uses for their annual Halloween lantern parade in Patterson Park. Our after party will be at Saigon Today, just a short walk from the school where we are hosting our event.

We will also be marching with these lanterns in the kickoff parade and we are all invited to participate in that as well. We will follow up with more details about that and expect to have 100 of our volunteers out there marching in the parade and representing Volunteering Untapped.
