Volunteering Untapped January Event – Baltimore Collaborative Warehouse

This month, we’re partnering with the Baltimore Collective Warehouse, which is home to five different nonprofits. We’ll be helping with:

• Prepping inventory for Break A Difference so that they can lead dope alternative spring break options for college kiddos and other big volunteer groups.
• Organizing loads of sporting equipment for Leveling the Playing Field, the Sporty Spice of the group, that provides the necessary tools (aka baseball bats, soccer cleats, tennis rackets, etc., etc.) for children to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of youth sports.
• Assembling boxes for Bedtime in a Box, a simple but creative solution that supports the health and educational development of children by providing families with the materials, tools, and training they need to enact a comprehensive bedtime routine, seven days a week. Catching quality zzz’s is so important for healthy growth, ya’ll!!
• Sorting books for the Maryland Book Bank, an awesome org committed to cultivating literacy in children in under-resourced neighborhoods. Everybody, everywhere deserves a good read.
• Packing diapers for Share Baby, an amazing org committed to ensuring that Baltimore’s most vulnerable young children get the diapers and items they need for the best start in life!

Have some sports equipment, books, kids clothes or toys you’re not using anymore? Bring them with you to donate to our partners! (Share Baby always needs unopened diapers and formula, too!)

The warehouse is a bit chilly, so dress warm!! Also, closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind gettin’ a little dirty are a must.

We’ll all meet up at 1794 Union Avenue Baltimore, MD 21211 then divide and conquer within the warehouse. Parking is limited so we definitely recommend carpooling or taking the Light Rail to the Woodberry stop.

The after party will be at nearby Blue Pit BBQ, a dog-themed BBQ joint with a killer pulled-pork sandwich (really, everything on the menu is bomb) and an amazing whiskey selection (again, like the menu, everything at the bar is top-notch). Blue Pit is always a fan favorite; we can’t wait to see you there!
