VU – December Event @ City Garage and Leadenhall Baptist Church

For our December event we will be working with Catholic Charities, Meals on Wheels, City of Refuge, Harbor Hospital and Weller Development. We’ll also be just down the street with United Way for their Holiday Pop Up Market This month we will be:

•Preparing coats and gloves for community members in need with Catholic Charities, our long-time partner that’s out there improving the lives of Marylanders who need it most.

•Crafting holiday cards to be delivered with Meals on Wheels, the bad a$$ org out there providing nutritious meals to our neighbors who may not be able to do it for themselves.

•Right down the road, some of us will be ho-ho-helping out at the United Way’s Holiday Pop Up Market where area families in need where they can choose free gifts for family members, get healthy food and personal items, and make use of resources including health screenings, tax preparation, flu shots and job recruitment. A true one-stop shop!

•Wrapping holiday gifts for children with City of Refuge, a local org paving pathways for Baltimore individuals and families to transition out of poverty and into a thriving community. Ready those gift-wrapping skills, people!

•And, last but not least, creating care packages for hospitalized children and making holiday decorations for an upcoming holiday shop for low-income families with Weller Development, ya know, just the folks developing Port Covington (casual). Big shout out to our friends at Weller that are making this event possible!

This month the after party will be just a quick walk (or drive) to NICK’S FISH HOUSE for food and drink specials and an UGLY SWEATER CONTEST you’re not going to want to miss!
