This month we will be heading to Liberty Elementary School to work with FORCE. FORCE is a creative activist collaboration focused on upsetting the culture of rape and promoting a culture of consent. FORCE designs communications campaigns to generate media attention and get millions of people talking. You can check out some of their biggest campaigns here.

For our event, we will be helping FORCE support their biggest event, The Monument Quilt, that will occur May 31-June 2 on the National Mall. The Monument Quilt is an ongoing collection of stories from survivors of rape and abuse. Written, stitched, and painted onto red fabric this quilt will be on display at the National Mall in DC from May 31 – June 2nd. We will help in assembling and sewing together the Monument Quilt Display that will be laid out on the National Mall in DC and we will be creating keepsakes for guests at the Monument Quilt Culminating Display (sewing experience not required).

In addition to our work with FORCE, we will be building an outdoor education, reading, and play area for the students at Liberty Elementary.

As always, we will have a great after party with drink specials – more details to follow!
